If I post an advert on one Network and then go to another network and post a different advert on the same business subject then is that considered spamming? I am just a bit confused on this subject and would like to have it clarified.

I think the best thing to do would be to ask the network leader. Some people have a strict definition of spam and some don't.

Spam is in the eye of the beholder. Even if you get permission from multiple network leaders, it's still someone's prerogative to report you to Ryze if you post the same advert on multiple networks (of course, one person reporting you won't get you in trouble, necessary). In fact, while it's not specifically prohibited in the Terms of Service, you might notice that at the top of every network posting form, there's a small line that says:

Only Post a Message to ONE BOARD, Please.

That said, in practice, many of us (self included) do occasionally post on multiple boards. Unless it is specifically stated that it's an ad day on the network I always ask the network leader. Then, not only do you prevent a possibly embarassing situation, you can actually position yourself even better by saying "Posted with permission" at the beginning or end of the post.

Scott, your idea of using "posted with permission" is a good one.

Scott, Your response really did help me and your suggestions are good ones. I am attempting to bring viewers to my referral page on mylot and I know networking and posting Add's on Ryze is a definite plus. I will be sure to refresh my memory on networks and network days the adds are allowed. Have a Great Day and thank you for your response. Thanks to all of you,
Teresa

Hi Teresa, you know that ryze offers a free classified as well, it may not ge what you are looking for in way of advt, but it couldn't hurt? There are also a few Advt networks just for this, but again, Ryze Policy on Spamming/Posting is the main guideline to follow even with permission of a network leader (as Scott shared). This rule also applies to sending PMs and adding a URL in a sig or GB post..... This was a great topic to share! Patricia
