I have yet to make - let alone post - a video to Youtube. However, I have watched a lot of Youtube videos. I agree with you it should be a powerful marketing tool. But, you will need a video camera and program like Camtasia Studio or something similar to pull off the proper recording and editing of your video for placement on Youtube. What if you do not possess any of those things? Well, there is a FREE program that can help you create and post online a slideshow that even enables you to do voice-overs.
