Hidden TIP: Who is ACTIVE on Ryze? | Views: 1057 |

Althea Garner | | Paul,
Just because a member pays for an ad, does not make them ACTIVE! I could pay for an ad on Ryze for the next year and have little or no input into any network or (worse yet) no contribution into the lives of my fellow Ryze members!
Personally, I would rather build a relationship with a Ryze member who is active and puts in QUALITY input in the form of live posts, than one who merely pays for an ad.
Anyone one can pay for an ad and anyone can say anything in the advertisement. How much does it cost to place an ad? It takes HEART [priceless] to contribute to the lives of others.
Posting to the networks takes time and effort that is appreciated by other members. Each post tells a little more about the person, their business and their ethics.
Business networking is all about relationship building - not one liner posts or paid advertising.
What do the members of this network think?

Donna Mann | | I agree with you Althea. I don't get an opportunity to network like I should, but business networking is important in building relationships.

Dana Neal | | I also agree with Althea...let me just say AMEN!!!
I have learned a lot from being active in my networks by posting, and having fun...besides letting people get to know my business.
If I didn't offer you a chance to get to know me....would you just purchase from me blindly?
Blessings to you and yours! Dana Neal http://www.essenceofawomanevents.com http://www.faithtravel4u.comPrivate Reply to Dana Neal |

With that honest face? OF COURSE!
Only joking, but I couldn't resist, Dana!
Hope that life continues to bless you!

Sylvia Buetow | | Neat. Jogged my memory and I posted a ad. $10.00 a month to upgrade the ad isn't much either. But for me cheap is good but free is better.

Sharilee Guest | | I have definitely enjoyed getting to know people on Ryze by reading their posts, talking back and forth and looking through their Ryze pages.
That is definitely where the relationships are built!

Paul,
Since this is the Networkers FIRST STOP Training network, what we discuss here, is taken quite seriously by newcomers. We therefore want to set a good example.
Far too many people hop onto Ryze, post their advertisements (some paid but most Spammed) and then sit back and wait for the gravy train to come in! Very often, when nothing happens, they get ticked off and tell others that Ryze didn't work for them.
Paul, your subject line was 'Who is ACTIVE on Ryze' - I merely pointed out that placing paid ads does not make a member 'active'.

Lamar Morgan 954-603-7901 | | Folks,
I am not convinced spending money on ads is going to work marketing magic for anyone. No one cares that you placed an ad - be it in the newspaper, on the radio or TV...unless you give them a reason. And, that means you convinced them to care. Too often the person placing the ad (and spending the money) is convinced. But, the one that needs convincing is not the one placing the ad. It's the one you want responding to it.
One of the things business networking with other people can help you accomplish is hone your message so you get a better response. you might be surprised to what extent people will go to help you hone your message or better accomplish your goal if you only ask. On another network I have actually asked Ryzers to help me get the attention of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to have his office send me an audio website link. Will Ryzers come forward to help me? One thing is for sure. I will never know unless I ask. Well, since I want the help, I humbly asked for it. But, that is not all. I not only asked for help, I offered to help others with a similar need. Successful business networking is meant to be a win/win situation. It is important that you not only convey that message, but that you take the time to demonstrate it as well.

Sharilee Guest | | Great points, Lamar!!
Marketing is about the relationship and building relationships. That is best done through interaction and posting and communicating with people. However, even written ads need to develop some type of relationship with the intended audience.
Now--- as far as ads go--- I have no idea where Ryze ads are, so obviously no one has reached me through that method-- but many Ryzers have reached me and even sold me on their products/services through posting and communicating with me directly. It doesn't matter to me if they are PAID Ryzers or non-paid like myself.
Good points, everyone!

Lamar Morgan 954-603-7901 | | Sharilee,
Meeting people on Ryze is a lot like meeting folks at a business mixer. It could be that the network or the mixer is the place where both parties are introduced. But, neither the network or the mixer needs to be the extent of where you interact. None of us should see our relationship with others as being limited to being on a network or attending a business mixer.
For example, a lot of my Ryze friends are also on my Skype list. I don't always wait for folks to respond to my Ryze posts. I just get on my computer and Skype them.
Business networking covers a lot of territory. If you confine you business networking to a small space, you are truly doing yourself and others a disservice.
