One of the purposes of networking is to meet new people. So how many new connections have you made this week? Personally, I know that I've reached out to 3 people this week. That's my goal for each week. I'm just curious to know how everyone's doing with their networking efforts.

Hi Deanna,

I have only reached out to two new Ryzers this week, however, my networking efforts outside of Ryze (face-to-face) have provided me with three new clients! (I only work with 6 clients at a time).

While it is extremely important to generate new contacts on a daily basis, one needs to:

a) categorize those contacts into the likilhood of business coming from them in either sales or referrals. Typically, for me, a prospect is considered an 'A', if they are ready to buy NOW... a 'B', if they will buy in the next 3 months ... and so on.

b) keep in touch with people! 'A' category is contacted every day, while 'B' category is contacted once a month, and so on.

I try to spend about 90 minutes everyday, calling contacts (one Ryze member a day - the rest are contacts made via other avenues) and in this way, I keep myself 'top of mind'.

Since I have disciplined myself to make prospecting calls every day, my business has gone through the roof! I can honestly say that if you are not making those calls on a daily basis (at least an hour a day), you don't have a business - unless of course, yours is an Internet based business.

I must say that someone reached out to me and I am now their client...it was a long week...and very stressful...but...because of what she has to offer I will be referring her to others...if you want a sneak peak and are a parent stop by the parents lounge and see Barb ....she's wonderful.

I have "ryzed" by a few new people just to say hello....I'm going to start making phone calls in the next week.

So what do you say to these people when you contact them by phone?

hi
i talk to 3 people everyday
and follow up with them in the week by calling them or going to see them and collect any info i have left them.
You have to stick to your plan of action. Most of the people i get to know before i phone them up.

It was an issue that prompted my phone call last week...but we just start by saying Hello and WOW ....a voice with a name....and just laugh and talk. Then the converstation gets down to business! It was a great converstation and very meaningful....especially for me.

I have emailed one person and we chatted about his successful website. It was actually very interesting.

I need to do this a little more.
