Dana Neal | | Good Morning!! I'm going to play catch since I was celebrating Christmas and my daughters birthday. She turned 17 yesterday and she's just the apple of my eye (ha ha)........
My "Monday Question Connection" today, is not something new but comes up quite often in home businesses and with people with small businesses: How do you handle family/home life and keep business in tact?
Let me say that this would be a lesson learned for me. My daughter will start college next year; my 12 year old is highly involved in sports, my 9 year old's (one "extended family" daughter) both are highly intellectual...I know have it in me to make the money (Lord's will) and I love helping people and other businesses so it puts a smile on my face (if not money in my pocket).. Somewhere, I'm not getting this family/home life and business under control to make it all work together. I can go into more detail as I hear from you.

I find that I get discouraged very quickly in both family and business when one isn't working: Gift baskets aren't selling so I don't plan any events, the kids lost their minds so my motivation to be creative and upbeat at my candle parties is out. I'm my own support base. :? And it isn't working. I've "technically" been in business since 1999...I haven't increased my income at all with any business since. I can sit down and create the best and largest event on paper; sell the prettiest basket; the candles sometimes sell themselves....neither is enough to increase my income by $200 per month.. :(

It's that time of year again...We start thinking about what we want to come from the new year and what we want to change for ourselves...Alot of the most popular ones is lose weight, make more money, get healthier etc etc.....I know I have been on the treadmill 3 times already...How long it will last I don't know!
I listened to a couple great conference calls in the past couple days...hoping to get the secret of how I would make this year the most successful! I like most others start out great and by February, it is back to the old ways.....:(
The most interesting thing I got from what I heard is:
WE ARE ALL SUCCESSFUL RIGHT NOW......You are saying yea right ..wish I were etc etc......
But what he meant by that is whatever you are doing you are successful at it...If you continue doing the same things over and over you ARE successful...It might be successful at being fat...or successful at being poor or whatever...You have just learned how to be successful at it...
Of course that isn't what we want to hear, but it is SO TRUE!!
To change that we need to learn a new way...Learn what we need to do to be successful at what we WANT to be successful at..
By February will I choose to be successful at carrying extra weight or will I choose to be successful at losing a few pounds...Time will tell but I know I will be more aware of my choices...
Of course how does this work for your business? We want our businesses to be successful.. so if yours is not..Let's make a plan...Write out what you are doing then write out what you need to be doing. Are you making the choice to be successful or Are you making the choice to be Unsuccessful.......Whichever it is YOU WILL SUCCEED!!
